The Employability Skills Programme is a collection of activities focusing on the development of skills to help learners understand what employer's value when recruiting potentional employees. These skills include motivation, timekeeping and teamwork. The learning also covers the practicalities of how to look for work such as CV's, application forms and how to perform at interview. The programme uses a combination of on-line learning and activities based around group discussion that are learner centred and enable development of new skills and reflection of prior experience in both work and life.

Learners will receive IAG (Information Advice and Guidance) at different stages of their learning plus the opportunity to self assess their employability needs both at the start and finish of their learning.

This course would be particularly useful for:

• adults thinking about returning to work or education
• unemployed people considering their options
• individuals with health issues and long term disabilities returning to employment.

Course Duration

Two days a week for three weeks.

Upon completion of the course we can offer the opportunity to gain employment through our network of Employer Links with numerous vacancies within the Food and Manufacturing Industries.
